Her daddy never does anything by halves. So perhaps it’s not surprising that Nell, daughter of disgraced banker Bob Diamond, was simply delighted to show off her extravagant wedding dress.

Made out of an astonishing 35 metres of silk and featuring a sweetheart neckline, the Olivier Theyskens design swept behind her for yards as her father walked her up the aisle.

The multi-millionaire banker, who quit Barclays in 2012 in the middle of a rate-rigging storm, has clearly not fallen on hard times since he was forced to step down as the bank’s chief executive.
