The religious ceremony  was held at the Palace of the Normans, a closed ceremeny to the public. It was a marriage almost off-limits to ordinary people, Eleonora Abbagnato, star of the Parisian Opera, and Federico Balzaretti the player of Palermo player, wanted a very discrete wedding but also one full of elegance and glamour.
