Peruvian tenor Juan Diego Florez married Saturday in a ceremony pompous that generated great expectations and was considered the wedding of the year in Peru.

Hundreds of people were stationed on the outskirts of the Cathedral of Lima, where he married the German Julia Trappe, who were cheered and greeted by the crowd.
