On June 4, they were married at the Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Holy Trinity on the East Side, before a church packed with family members and political powerhouses (Hillary Rodham Clinton and Mr. Kelly sat on the bride’s side, and former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger and Mr. Giuliani on the bridegroom’s) and a tittering clutch of Ms. Catsimatidis’s high school friends. “Can we talk about the fact that this is actually happening?” one of the young women, round-eyed, said to a friend.

Her Royal Highness the Princess Anne married Lieutenant Mark Phillips on November 14, 1973.  Despite their common love of horses Mark Phillips never enjoyed attending official duties with the princess and after growing apart in April 1992 they divorced.

The couple were married on September 12, 1953 at St. Mary’s Church in Newport, Rhode Island. The 11 a.m. ceremony was officiated by Archbishop Richard Cushing. A whopping 750 guests attended, with an additional 3,000 well-wishers who waited outside hoping to catch a glimpse.
