Carlos Slim Jr., 43, got married in October, last. He is the eldest son of the Mexican billionaire Carlos Slim Helú, named by Forbes magazine as the richest man in the world with a net worth of $60 billion dollars.
The bride, 27, is the granddaughter of film actress Maria Elena Marqués Rangel and daughter of Miguel Torruco, president of the National Tourism Confederation of Mexico.
Maria Elena’s gown was designed by famed Oscar de la Renta. Her wedding train went from her shoulder all the way down, embossed with small white flowers. I think it is the most spectacular wedding gown I have seen. The beautiful bride and her handsome husband made a beautiful couple.
Alejandra de Borbón, daughter of Alfonso de Borbón, cousin of King Juan Carlos of Spain and Marisa Yordi, married Bosco Ussía, son of Alfonso Ussía, famous Spanish writer and Pilar Hornedo.
The wedding took place in Santa Maria Cathedral on the 21-st of June 2008. Alejandra’s gown was designed by Chanel, a very classic and simple dress, and her shoes where signed by Manolo Blahnik.
José María Manzanares and Rocío Escalona have been joined in matrimony in their home city of Alicante at 12:30 in the Nuestra Señora de Gracia church.
The wedding gown was based on the bride’s own designs and ideas, perfectly captured by designer Manuel Mota. The romantic 1950s style dress was made with natural silk tulle, with a v-neckline and padded detailing on each shoulder. The bodice was draped with the tulle netting, with a velvet sash around the waist in tone with the dress. The skirt consisted of eight layers of tulle netting, with hand embroidered floral patterns adorning the hem line. Complementing the dress, the bride wore a double layered veil of natural silk tulle, measuring at 3.5 metres long, fixed with a decorative hair piece of the same floral design.
