On Sept. 23, 1996, Camelot's prince wed his princess as 35-year-old John Kennedy Jr. married Carolyn Bessette, a 30-year-old Calvin Klein publicist, in a private ceremony on a Georgia island with only a handful of guests in attendance, including his uncle, Massachusetts Sen. Ted Kennedy and his sister Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg.
