Doña Simoneta Gómez-Acebo y de Borbón is the only daughter of HRH the Infanta Pilar and the late Duke of Badajoz, and the eldest niece of HM the King.

Simoneta married don José Miguel Fernández Sastrón, musician and grandson of the founder of Madrid’s first department stores(Galerías Preciados) in the Cathedral of Palma de Mallorca in 1990.

Infanta Cristina of Spain and Iñaki Urdangarín y Liebaert were married in 1997 at Barcelona Cathedral in Barcelona, Spain.

The wedding took place in Villa-Manrique de La Condesa (Sevilla), near the Montpensier Palace, in Spain. The bride wears a gown designed by Gianfranco Ferré to Dior. Her hair was done by Hair-dresser Alexander. The tiara was worn by the Countess of Paris at her wedding.
